There are currently two ways to turn your floor plan into 3D printable models: 1. Inkscape + OpenSCAD (For detailed steps, please check the bottom of this description.) 2. Floorplan23d.xyz (recommended / Freemium Web App)) Many friends feedbacked that Method 1 had a bit of a steep learning curve, so I spent the past few months building FloorPlan23D to make the entire process effortless. Note on Pricing: Generating and previewing your 3D models is 100% free. You only pay if you're happy with the preview and decide to download the model file. This helps cover AI and server hosting costs. FloorPlan23D solves several pain points of the OpenSCAD workflow: Zero Software Hassle: No need to download, install, or configure extra software like OpenSCAD or Inkscape. Near-Zero Learning Curve: Extremely intuitive and easy to pick up right away. Universal Unit Support: Friendly to both metric and imperial users. For the past two months, I kept the tool invite-only while iterating based on early user feedback. Now that enough users have successfully printed their dream models with Floorplan23d, I've removed the invite requirement. It is now open to everyone. What you can generate with FloorPlan23D right now: Floor Plan Models: Upload your floor plan image, and the AI plus backend algorithms will generate the initial canvas and 3D layout. After just a few minutes of fine-tuning, you’ll get a print-ready model. Roof Models: Supports both Pitched roofs and Flat roofs. Furniture Models: Automatically generates all doors and windows directly from your floor plan. The tool reads the dimensions of each door and window opening, automatically splits them into individual 3D printable parts, arranges them onto printable plates, and gets them ready for your printer instantly. I’m currently busy iterating and pumping out new features, so I haven't had time to record updated video tutorials yet.
