This design uses a simple but effective mechanism: Get Ready: Place the insect catcher over the insect The trigger on the handle keeps the hatch retracted open Catch: Press the button or lever on the handle This makes the gate slide smoothly forward closing the opening of the scoop and trapping the insect inside The threaded black piece can be tightened when the insect is inside to keep the hatch closed without having to hold down the button Release: Take the insect catcher outdoors Loosen the thread and pull the trigger back to open the gate and let your small guest go free 🖨️ Printing Recommendations This model is designed for easy printing with minimal supports Material: PLA is recommended for most pieces due to its ease of printing PETG is also an excellent option for greater durability Assembly: Requires going over the holes with a hand drill and 2mm bit do not go over those where the screws go It is recommended to sand and lightly grease the friction areas with silicone grease or vegetable oils for ultra smooth performance optional ✨ Why is this version the DEFINITIVE one?
