Boost Me (for free) Thanks for your support! Boost A customizable box with a snap closure and a hinged lid. Its unique feature is that the design is completely flush. There are no protruding corners or edges, either on the outside or inside. All elements are housed within the frame. This makes the box perfect for space-saving storage in drawers, etc. Thanks to its customizability, you can generate a box with your desired internal dimensions directly on Makerworld. The box comes in two versions: Version A: Closed as a universal box. The print profile with internal dimensions of 85 x 50 x 30 mm is perfect for cotton swabs, for example. Size: 85 x 50 x 30mm (inner dimensions) Size: 50 x 35 x 20mm (inner dimensions) Version B: Lid and base with openings for various cards. For example: playing cards, trading cards, credit cards, or business cards. The openings have two functions: Firstly, they make labeling unnecessary because the contents can be seen from both sides. Secondly, the stack of cards can be easily removed by lifting it from below with your index finger. And when putting it back into the box, you can also align the stack from below so that the cards slide in easily. See GIF. Size: 90 x 59 x 37mm (inner dimensions) Size: 90 x 59 x 45mm (inner dimensions) Customization function: The three internal dimensions (width, depth, height) can be customized for both versions. The maximimum length is 125mm in all axis. The lock function does not work well with bigger boxes. For version B for cards, an additional 3 mm should be added to the width and depth, and 2 mm to the height. Example using a typical playing card deck. The cards measure 56 x 87 mm. The box should therefore measure 59 x 90 mm inside and be 2 mm higher than the height of the card deck. Print settings: Box: 3 walls To avoid warping, I have achieved good results with corner brims. A: Single-color: After generating the file, you can print the box and lid together on a single print plate. B: Two-color: After loading the generated file, the model must first be split into individual parts. See animation: Hold the “ctrl” key on the keyboard to mark both lid parts. The lid on the second print bed can now be printed with a different filament. C: Two-color with cleaner look: This is the default setting for the 4 predefined print profiles. First, as with variant B, the model must be split and the lid moved to a new print plate. Then color the surfaces. See animation: Tip: If you want to print one of the 4 standard print profiles in variant A or B you can click on “rease all painting” in the paint menü. Assembly: Remove the support from the lid and the brim of the box. When removing the lid, make sure that the pins are clean and free of any major residue from the support.
