Beskrivelse
Looking for Threads? Look no further. This OpenSCAD script lets you generate a variety of fully parametric threaded rods and nuts using BOSL2. It supports Triangular (ISO/UTS), Trapezoidal, ACME, Buttress, and Square threads, allowing precise customization of dimensions, thread types, and additional options for 3D printing. Whether you’re designing for lead screws, fasteners, or mechanical power transmission, this script has you covered. Click on Customize to open the generator. Using Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy? Click here to customize the model on Makerworld.com. 🚀 Quick Start 1. Select a Thread Type Choose the thread to apply to the rod and nut. Adjust general parameters like diameter, pitch, thread starts and direction, and blunt start options. 2. Customize Your Threaded Component Each thread type has its own unique options: Rods: Set length, pitch, thread type, number of starts, and optional split feature for 3D printing. Nuts: Choose between hex or square shapes, adjust thickness, bevel options, and control 3D printing clearance. 3. Render and Export Generate your threaded components at the desired resolution and export for slicing and printing. Using a fine layer height improves detail and fit. Increasing sparse infill increases strength. ✨ Features Multiple Thread Types Supports Triangular, Trapezoidal, ACME, Buttress, and Square threads for different applications. Customizable Parameters Adjust diameter, pitch, thread length, nut shape, thread starts, clearance, blunt starts, and more. Precision Modeling Uses BOSL2 threading functions to ensure accurate and efficient geometry. 3D Printing Ready Fine-tune undersizing, clearance, bevels, and resolution settings for perfectly fitting 3D-printed threads. This script is open source under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license – free to use, modify, and share with proper credit. Built with BOSL2, ensuring clean, efficient OpenSCAD code. If you have GitHub, don’t forget to star the repository! 🌀 Thread Types Type Flank angle Standard Description Application Triangular / V-groove 60° ISO/UTS Standard fastening thread with high grip strength. Screws, bolts, general fastening Trapezoidal 30° ISO 2904 Power transmission thread with high load capacity. Lead screws, actuators, CNC ACME 29° ANSI B1.5 Strong trapezoidal thread for smoother motion and durability. Machinery, high-load lead screws Buttress 45° / 7° ISO 103 Asymmetric thread for high axial force in one direction. Jacks, presses, heavy machinery Square 0° None Most efficient power thread with low friction. Precision lead screws, high-force applications 🛠️ Changelog v1.1 (NEW) Added round nut shape option. Added configurable nut outer chamfer for round and square nuts. Improved automatic display spacing between the rod and nut. 📜 Maker Scripts Boost Me (for free) Your support helps me maintain and create new Maker Scripts. Thank you! Boost
