Do you know this problem? A shelf support goes missing breaks or gets left behind when moving and suddenly the shelf is hanging crookedly. Instead of buying expensive replacement parts from the hardware store or waiting days for a delivery you can simply print this extremely sturdy shelf support yourself in just a few minutes! 🚀 I designed this model myself after one of my supports went missing. It is optimized for maximum stability and a perfect fit. ✨ Model highlights: Universal fit: Fits all standard cabinets just select the print profile with the matching pin diameter: 3 4 5 6 7 or 8 mm (IKEA hardware store kitchen cabinets etc.). Measure your drill hole briefly beforehand. Extra sturdy: The triangular reinforcement easily supports heavy shelf boards and books starting from a 5 mm pin diameter. This does not apply to 3 and 4 mm see note below. Fast to print: Finished in just a few minutes perfect for printing a whole set as stock right away! Save money & time: Repair your furniture immediately ("Right to Repair"). ⚙️ Recommended print settings (IMPORTANT for stability!): Material: For maximum load capacity I recommend PETG. PLA PLA+ or ASA also work just as well. Infill: 100% Support: Depending on orientation and printer minimal tree supports are recommended. Note: The saved print settings worked perfectly for me on my Bambu Lab P1S. However since every printer and filament behaves slightly differently please double check the settings for your own setup before printing! Also calibrate your filament (flow rate and pressure advance) for a solid filled part of this size this determines whether the pin fits tightly or wobbles in the hole. Regarding load capacity: The carrying capacity depends heavily on the pin diameter and decreases disproportionately for the thinner versions roughly speaking the 3 mm pin only carries about one fifth of the 5 mm version and the 4 mm pin carries about half. Therefore use more supports per shelf for 3 and 4 mm and only load them lightly.
