Beskrivelse
Shut The Box Shut the Box is a fun dice game for two or more players, though can also be played by one player as a solitaire game. It's a great game for encouraging number recognition and practicing addition and number bonds. Traditionally, a counting box is used with tiles numbered 1 to 9, that can be flipped up and down on hinges, though there are also variations with ten or twelve tiles. Features: A fun game to play alone or with friends. Easy to print with no AMS needed. (Included print profile does use an AMS, but this is only for colour changes by layer number) Assemble in less than 3 minutes. Dice included. How To Play: Please watch the video below for a detailed explanation… Variations There are many variations for playing Shut the Box. Here are some examples: 45 Out: Instead of playing a set number of rounds, a player is out of the game if they reach 45 points. The last remaining player wins the game Against All Odds: To start the game, all odd numbers are up and evens are down. Even Stevens: This time all even numbers are up and odds are down. 2 To Go: You must close the '2' tile on your first roll, to continue your turn. If you fail to do so, your turn ends (this variation works best when playing a game with more than one round). Assembly: Insert the ‘Shaft’ through the hole in the side of the ‘Tray’. Once through the hole, add one ‘Spacer’. Add all number tiles to the shaft ascending from 1-12. Place the second spacer onto the ‘Shaft’ after the number 12 tile. Insert the end of the ‘Shaft’ into the closed hole at the opposite side of the ‘Tray’. Add a spot of superglue to the ‘Shaft Cap’ and locate the pins to cover the hole in the ‘Tray’. (Superglue isn't essential if you want to retain the ability to dismantle the game) Extra info: You can start the game with all of the number tiles in either the up or down position. You can condense the print to 2 plates by moving the ‘Shaft’, ‘Spacers’ and ‘Dice’ onto the same plate as the numbered tiles. This will however add coloured lines as they will be printed with the same colour changes as the tiles. This is a great game to take to a pub or social gathering and place bets or drink rounds on. The number tiles should flick up or down with almost no resistance. You may need to operate them in both positions a few times before they become really smooth.
