Use this tripod adapter to mount a cell phone to a camera tripod. The base is threaded to fit standard tripod camera mounting threads. All parts are printed - nothing to buy. The phone holder is slotted so that buttons on the side of the phone will NOT be depressed while in the mount. It will hold a phone in or out of a phone case. It will hold phones with a width of 65mm to 90mm. (The phone pictured is an iPhone 11 Pro.) All parts print without supports. I have printed this in PLA and in PETG. The PLA makes nice smooth overhangs on the curved edges near the print bed. The PETG makes nicer threaded parts. (The PLA version looks slightly better, but the PETG version is the one I will keep on the tripod for regular use.) The mount holds the phone secure enough to allow the phone to be tilted 90 degrees with the pan and tilt function of the tripod. Easy assembly: Place the top part into the bottom part and insert the printed screw to fasten them together. Set your phone in the jaws of the mount and tighten the screw until it is lightly snug. Do not over tighten. To remove the phone: Loosen the screw and slide the phone out to the side. The print profile is set to print at the “strength” settings, which means 6 wall loops and 25% gyroid infill. The screw needs this added strength.
