Introducing David Bust V2, the same David already on my profile, finally shown the way it deserved. The sculpture is untouched, from Michelangelo's turned gaze to the broken shoulder line, and what is new sits underneath: a circular base printed in deep black that lifts the bust off the surface and frames the stone-toned head like a museum pedestal. The print is dialed in more carefully this time, so the curls and the cut of the crown come out sharper. Design & Concept The bust itself needed nothing. The face, the curls, and the fractured shoulders are exactly the geometry of the first release, because that part was never the problem. What this version adds is a stage: a separate circular base in deep black, so the contrast between the dark plate and the pale stone does all the work that paint would otherwise have to do, and the fragment reads as something displayed rather than something set down. The rest of my attention went into the print, since on a face this familiar the surface quality is what decides whether the piece reads as marble or as filament.
