VERSION V3 IS OUT: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3305119-fast-strong-automatic-respooler-v3-1-3-kg-spools 🌀 Fast Strong Automatic Respooler V2 (1–3 kg Spools) After several successful respooler designs, I have finally completed the version featuring a fully automatic filament guide / level-wind system! I went through numerous community reviews and feedback from my previous models, picked the best suggestions, and packed them all into this ultimate design: ✨ Key Features & Upgrades: 🎯 Fully Automatic Filament Leveling: Evenly guides and lays the filament side-to-side across the target spool with zero manual effort. 🛑 Friction Brake Screw on Donor Spool: Prevents the donor spool from freewheeling/over-spinning and creating tangles when you pause or stop rewinding. 🔩 Standard Hex Bit Drive: Replaced the dedicated drill pin with a universal hex slot — now easily driven by any standard electric screwdriver, drill bit, or the included manual crank handle. 🗜️ Anti-Lift Spool Latches & Table Mounts: Added secure spool retainers so the spools won't lift when hand-cranking, plus screw holes in the base to bolt the respooler down to your desk, shelf, or workbench. When holders dont holding - just reprinted them for 99% size… Size depends on calibration of your printer… ♻️ 100% 3D Printable (Zero Non-Printed Hardware): No bearings, metal rods, or screws needed! The only non-printed item required is a short piece of standard PTFE tube for the filament guide. 🔄 Backwards Compatible: If you’ve already printed my previous version, you only need to print the updated/diff parts! The core components remain fully compatible. 🔗 3 kg Spool Expansion Link To complete the 3 kg spool setup, print the adapter included in the files and use it with this spool holder: 👉 3kg Filament Spool Holder Extension on MakerWorld 🛠️ Hardware & Bill of Materials (BOM): 3D Printed Parts (all included in the print profiles) 1× Short piece of standard PTFE tube (approx. 3–5 cm) 🖨️ Recommended Print Settings: Material: PETG / PLA / ABS (PETG or PLA Tough recommended for gears and axles) Layer Height: 0.20 - 0.24 mm Walls / Perimeters: 2 or more Infill: 10% Gyroid Supports: Only where specified in the print profile 🙏 Credits & Attribution: A big shoutout and huge thanks to KYZ Design!
