BRAINDROP was born from a simple obsession : the moment when a thought becomes too powerful to stay contained. The skull — cold, silent, mineral — holds everything in. Until it doesn't. The cranium splits open. Light pours out like liquid gold, dripping down the edges, escaping through every crack. Not violent. Almost peaceful. Like the natural release of something that was always meant to shine. This lamp is not just a light source. It's a statement about creativity, about the ideas we carry inside us, about the ones we finally let out. 🖨️ Print Settings & Assembly Guide No AMS required. Every part is printed in PLA, in separate pieces — giving you infinite color combinations with a simple filament swap between parts. The fluid (inner brain) This is the light core of the model. Two options depending on the effect you want : Matte or standard PLA with a single wall, lets light filter through softly for a warm, diffused glow. Translucent PLA, maximizes light output for a stronger, more dramatic effect. Set infill to 0%, essential to allow full light transmission through the part. The two skull halves Use 3 walls minimum to prevent the skull from becoming a lampshade itself, you want the light contained, not leaking everywhere. Set the inner infill pattern to Concentric, this ensures a smooth, opaque internal surface with no visible wall artifacts. Avoid Grid or Gyroid patterns : they will show through the walls under light and break the aesthetic. Recommended infill : 8% is sufficient for all structural parts. LED compatibility Top skull half → designed to fit the Bambu Lab KC007 LED Bottom skull half → designed to fit the Bambu Lab MH001 LED (more powerful — adjust wall count accordingly if light bleed is too strong) Assembly Glue the fluid piece between the two skull halves before placing the assembly onto the base. Use a strong adhesive (superglue or epoxy) — this joint supports the full upper structure. ⚠️ Important The orientation of each part on the build plate has been carefully optimized for the best surface finish once supports are removed.
