This lamp uses 2 RGB LED modules, available in the maker supply store, which can be controlled via a remote controller. One LED module sits in the suspended lantern while the other sits in the base. Both LED modules can be accessed via threaded covers to allow you to change the batteries. All parts can be printed on the legendary A1 Mini with only a few of them requiring supports. You'll need some glue to assemble the parts and if you're finding the threads to be a little tight, try running them back and forth a few times, that did the trick for me. I'll be the first to admit that there are still some shortcomings in this design, and I am working to fix them. With that said, I have reached a stage where working lamps can be printed and I thought it was time to share! Assembly should be fairly obvious. I started with the hanging lantern, gluing the shade into the fixture before enclosing it with the two cage parts. Then glue the hook on the top. Check that the threads run smooth before assembly as the hanging lantern is quite fragile. Next I assembled the main lamp, starting with inserting the shade into the base and sandwiching it with the bottom piece. Then I glued the snake ring onto the base and installed the hanging lantern. I found this easier if there was no LED inside as it gave a touch more space. Once through the top hole in the ring, lock it in place with the lockpin before installing the LED module. You can secure the LED modules in place with some adhesive pads. I didn't do this, but it might have been wiser if I had, time will tell. Boost Me (for free) Snek love boosty 🐍❤️ Boost
