Boost Me (for free) If you enjoy my designs, you can support my work with a boost! Boost This model is inspired by traditional Japanese Tōrō lanterns, often found in gardens, temples, and tea houses. It brings a touch of serene elegance and timeless design to any space. It supports the LED Lamp Kit, the RGBW Puck Lights as well as regular tea lights with a diameter below 40mm. There are two options for the shade: A meshed shade and a solid sade printed in vase mode. I reccomend the meshed shade for the tea light option, as tea lights typically aren't bright enough to illuminate the solid shade effectively. The lamp can be printed with either fuzzy or smooth skin. The fuzzy skin profile was carefully tuned with fuzzy top layers and does a very good job to reasmble a stone look. If you want to slice it yourself with fuzzy skin, be aware you must use modifiers to make sure the parts can still be assambled. The profile provided by me is ready to print. The upper part rests loosely on the base, allowing easy access to the light source at any time. Optional holes are included for D6x3mm magnets, which can be used to secure the parts if desired. Printing You only need to print the Roof, Middle Piece, and one Foot that matches your desired light source as well as the shade of your choice. With PLA, all parts are printable without supports, even though I added a few small manual supports for better bridges. If you print the fuzzy skin version, you should use a textured PEI build plate so you also get a textured look on the bottom. Assembly Slide the shade into the middle piece, then click the roof into place. The upper section can simply rest on the base, but optional D6×3mm magnets can be inserted for a more secure hold. You can use just three magnets per part, but in that case, you'll need to align the lid correctly each time you place it on the base. If you use six magnets in the base, the lid will snap into place in any orientation.
