Beskrivelse
Boost Me (for free) If you enjoy my designs, you can support my work with a boost! Boost A traditional Chinese lucky mini lantern, commonly used as a decorative symbol of good fortune and celebration, especially during Chinese New Year festivities. The lid is magnetic, you need D4x2 or D6x3 magnets for assembly. Make sure to print the right body! This design has two versions. One that can be printed without AMS and one that has a two color body which requires an AMS or H2D / H2C. I reccomend this version only for dual nozzle printers or if you want to print many lanterns at once! The lantern fits standard electric tea lights with a diameter of up to 40mm and body height of up to 27mm. This design includes two optional stands - A single and a double stand as shown in the photos! Printing This design was made for FDM printing and does not need supports. I recommend printing with 0.16mm layer height for clean threads. The Hook of the Stand should be printed with 100% infill for stability reasons. I strongly recommend printing the tassel on PEI. Tassel Assembly This design has a 3d-printable tassel. Let the build plate fully cool down before you attempt to remove it from the build plate! When it's cooled down, use a scraper to gently disconnect the ends from the build plate. Try to only scrape towards the inside and not to bend the strings. Flex the build plate to fully remove it from the build plate. Carefully bend the strings up a bit as shown in (3) with your finger. Make sure to bend them very close to the corner! Then you can add the outer ring, making sure the upper side is oriented as shown in (4). While holding the outer ring, use a coin or similar to turn the inner part until it stops. This should further bend the strings down so the result looks like shown in (6). Lantern Assembly The remaining lantern parts are simply screwed into each other. Depending on your extrusion, the magnets might require to be secured with a drop of super glue.
