This custom 3D printed lampshade is designed to pair perfectly with the IKEA STRALA lamp base, adding a warm, ambient glow through an organic sculpted flow surface. The twisting vertical pattern diffuses light gently, creating a calm and atmospheric presence that feels more like a design object than a simple lamp. The shape blends softness and structure — minimal when off, expressive when illuminated. It’s ideal for: • Japandi interiors • Modern warm lighting setups • Bedroom / living room ambient light • Design-focused spaces Compatibility Designed specifically for: IKEA STRALA Lamp Base https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/strala-cord-set-white-90371505/ Filament Recommendations For best aesthetic results I recommend: 👉 Bambu Wood Test prints were successfully made using: • PLA Matte Ivory White • PLA Basic White Both work well, but Bambu Wood gives a more natural diffused glow and premium feel. The included print profiles are optimized for both 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm nozzles. When assembling, make sure to first pass the power cable through the printed lampshade before mounting anything else. Then attach the IKEA STRALA lamp holder and firmly tighten its original retaining ring (the threaded collar that normally secures a shade). It’s important that this part is fully secured first, as it provides the main structural support. Once the STRALA holder is properly tightened, screw in the printed insert last to lock everything neatly in place and ensure the shade sits stable and aligned. Important Note About Print Settings Print settings instructions will not be included here in the description.
