Hey, I'm Foxwood! If you like my work, be sure to follow me for more design in the future! Desk Clock – Hybrid Wood Edition This is the second model I’ve made using the H2D’s laser module, and I really enjoyed combining laser-cut wooden panels with 3D-printed parts into one design. The result is a desk clock that keeps the minimal design of my original version, but now has a warm, handcrafted look thanks to the wood details. You can build it two different ways: With the laser-cut decorative face, for a premium, mixed-material look. Or with a fully 3D-printed clock if you don’t have access to a laser cutter. For assembly, the decorative face needs a bit of glue, and the main stand goes together with 8 × BT2.5 Socket Head Cap Self-Tapping Screws (linked in the BOM section). I really enjoyed experimenting with this hybrid approach, and I think it opens the door for more designs that bring together the precision of printing and the texture of real materials.
