This is a project that I've had in the back of my head for a long time, and finally this year I started putting it together. I doubt this is the final version (I already have plans for a different light source thanks to a suggestion from an interested redditor). But, this version is functional enough, and hopefully others can take what I have and improve and redesign it for their own needs. The one issue it still seems to have is some light fall-off at the edges and corners. The larger bulb and larger light housing (E1A and E1B) seems to help a bit. But, I have yet to make any actual photo prints yet (been working on making a space for a darkroom). So, I'm unsure how much of an effect the light fall-off is on an actual print. The future update to the light source will, hopefully, reduce the effect even further anyway. Some parts in the images may be slightly different than what is uploaded. I've updated some, but made earlier prints worked well enough for myself so didn't reprint them. Unless you have the same lenses I have, you'll likely need to make your own attachment for your lenses. If you need any help feel free to reach out to me. The lens attachments provided may have some alignment issues with the bolt holes. I've updated them somewhere along the line and hopefully these are the correct files. But I've made enough versions that who knows and I'm too lazy to go through the trouble of making sure. They're still useable either way, and if you don't have the same lenses then you won't need them anyway. Parts listed with an "E" are the latest version with the larger light housing. If you want to use the smaller light housing just replace parts E1A, E1B and P6 with the "S" parts. Parts listed with a "P" are for the legs and attachment to the metal bar. Part P4C goes inside of part P4A. I have noticed a crack forming on part P4A, so I will probably need to redesign it. Especially since the design also has space for two nuts and bolts which it turned out to be redundant. I'm also an idiot and included space for two washers that overlapped making it impossible to put two in. (you could also print this part with higher strength settings as it still works as is). --Parts Needed that are not 3d Printed (some of these parts were measured with a caliper to get their size as I didn't record what I purchased, so if anything is wrong I apologize, and please let me know so I can fix it.)-- 7 - M5 x 30 Bolts (5 are for the leg attachments and you may need different sizes depending on the thickness of your material for the printing surface.) (there's also space for 2 more to attach S2A and S2B, but they're redundant so they're not included in the count) 2 - M5 x 25 Bolts 9 - M5 Nuts M5 Washers - Don't know how necessary they are, some spots I used them, others I didn't, so do whatever you like. 2 - 8mm x 65 bolts (These were measured with the caliper, so maybe print the part and bring it to the hardware store to make sure you get something that fits.) 2 - 8mm nuts 1 - 12mm x 50mm bolt (I used an eye bolt for easier turning, but you can use whatever works for you, but it does have to be at least 50mm in length. Also, this is another measured part) 1 - 12mm nut 1 inch x 36 inch square metal bar (The length can be whatever you want, but it will determine how far your enlarger can be raised and thus what size of prints you can make.) board for photo printing surface.(I just used what I had lying around, a board underneath that I could drill holes into for the bolts and then another thin clean piece on top) --Lenses I used-- Omega 50mm Enlarger lens (I found it on etsy for $15, I have no idea how common or uncommon they might be.)
