Get a Commercial License to support my work Join Hexagonal “Floating Candle Holder” This elegant hexagonal candle holder creates an impressive optical illusion: a small LED tealight appears to float weightlessly in the center of the frame. The effect is achieved through thin tensioned threads that stabilize the central platform while remaining nearly invisible from a distance. The modern frame features clean geometric lines and a smooth surface finish. The central holder is designed to fit tealights up to 40 mm in diameter and accommodates standard LED tealights, making it a stylish and safe decorative piece for living rooms, seasonal displays, or ambient lighting setups. Perfect as a unique gift or as an atmospheric addition to your home décor. Attention! Suitable for electric (LED) tealights only ! Attention, important : Please allow the print bed to cool down completely before removing the model. Remove it very carefully. I had good results using a scraper. The threads are very delicate. I first carefully cut the support before removing the rest.You can also print the model without support, but in that case the circular recess for the tealight will be a bit less clean on the inside. Of course, you’ll have fewer weak points when removing it from the build plate. I can also recommend leaving the build plate inside the printer while removing the model. Even small bends can be risky with models like this.You must not stretch these threads too much. A gentle touch is essential :-) I can recommend regular PLA. PLA Silk is even more delicate, but it works as well. I have included a test piece so you can try out how well the threads print. And now, I wish you lots of success with this model :-)
