This articulated baby sturgeon was designed with a long armored body, chunky segmented movement, raised bony scutes, detailed fins, and the classic pointed sturgeon head shape. The segmented body allows the fish to flex naturally while keeping the armored sturgeon look strong and detailed straight off the build plate. The wood color, black, and white filament mix gives the model a natural baby sturgeon style with bold contrast across the body, fins, belly, and raised armor details. 👁️ Uses 6mm glass eyes 👁️ Can be scaled up for 8mm glass eyes 📄 Printable eye sheet available in the members-only eye sheet listing 🎨 Filaments Used: SUNLU PLA Wood Color, armor details and lighter body tones MatterHackers PLA Black, top body and darker details Snapmaker White PLA, belly and light details ⚙️ Includes custom painted supports to help reduce the chances of the print coming loose during printing while preserving detail in critical areas. ⚠️ Multi-color articulated prints can sometimes be harder to print if the build plate is not properly clean. Make sure your build plate is clean before printing. A brim or raft may also help improve adhesion and print reliability. 📸 Great for fishing fans, river displays, lake displays, cabin decor, tackle room shelves, gifts, or experimenting with different sturgeon color patterns.
