Inspired by the redesign of a continent's currency, Face Value is my own issue: six denominations, 5 to 200, printed flat and in full color. Where a banknote would normally carry a portrait or a bridge, these carry the faceless figures of my NObody series, each one standing in a landscape built from flat planes and layered color. Six files, six color stories, one collection you print yourself. Design & Concept I designed Face Value as an excuse to treat a banknote the way it deserves to be treated, as a piece of graphic design first and a unit of value second. Every denomination gets its own palette and its own scene: blue and yellow peaks on the 5, a red canyon crossed by waterfalls on the 10, a concentric orange sun on the 50, ivory ribbons on the 200. The artwork is not a sticker or a decal. It is built from filament color changes, so the image lives inside the object, and under a magnifier the line work holds together the way engraving does. Each note prints flat, thin enough to flex between your fingers, and the whole set reads as one body of work rather than six separate prints. Key Features: Six Denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200, each with its own palette, artwork, and serial styling. Multicolor 3MF Only: Every note ships as a prepared 3MF with plate layout, colors, and layers already set. Print straight from the file. Printed In The Material: The artwork is built from filament color changes rather than applied on top, so it will not peel, fade, or rub off. Engraving-Level Detail: Put a magnifier on any note and the line work resolves, the way it does on printed currency. Faceless Cast: Each scene is anchored by a figure from my NObody series, so the collection holds together as a single issue. Flat And Flexible: The notes print thin, sit flat in a frame or a sleeve, and flex between your fingers. Collect The Set: Start with one denomination or print all six. The series grows the way a collection should, one note at a time. Collector Note These notes are decorative prints. They are not currency, they carry no monetary value, and they cannot be used as payment. Print them, frame them, gift them, and keep them where you keep the rest of your collection. Printing Recommendations: All Six Notes: Files: Print from the supplied 3MF files. Each denomination carries its own plate layout, color assignments, and layer mapping. Slicing the model from scratch will not reproduce the artwork. Multicolor: A multi-material setup is required. The color changes are what draw the image, so a single-filament print will come out blank. Orientation: Flat on the plate, exactly as arranged in the file. Do not rotate or rescale the note.
