This is my simplified take on the Red Baron's Fokker Dr.I. triplane. I did mainly use threaded brass inserts for assembly but there is no reason why it can't be put together with CA glue. I've included plates with and without the insignias. If printing the “marked" version, be prepared for a LOT of filament changes. I normally wouldn't print something with this many changes but in the end, it made the project so complete. Assemble in this order… Engine into the fuselage. Tri wings carefully wiggled into place. (I've assembled four models without any breakage or cracking.) Tail section. Slide the round section into the groove before securing the main part of the tail. Wheel assembly into the fuselage. This is the only place I used a dab of CA glue on either side. Engine cover. Prop. Sit back and admire (hopefully…) Membership Interested in going retail with any of my designs???
