This Forest Dragon Bust is not your average dragon; it is a fusion between the beast and the nature it protects. The design features a unique organic texture where traditional scales are replaced by patterns resembling tree bark, vines, and twisted roots. The neck flows down into the base like an ancient tree trunk, and its head is crowned with horns that look like hardened branches. This piece is ideal for: Fantasy and RPG lovers (Great for D&D or Pathfinder atmosphere). Artists and Painters: The deep textures are perfect for practicing painting techniques like dry brushing and washes. Nature-themed Decor: Looks amazing on a wooden desk or shelf. ⚙️ Recommended Print Settings This model is designed to print cleanly, but due to the complex organic textures, here are my recommendations for the best results: Material: standard PLA looks great, but Matte PLA (to hide layer lines) or Wood PLA will make this model look incredible and realistic. Layer Height: 0.12mm to 0.16mm is recommended to capture the fine "bark" details. (The print profile is set in 0.2mm to reduce time) Infill: 10% - 15% (Gyroid or Grid pattern). Supports: Recommended: Yes. Type: I strongly suggest using Tree Supports (Organic). Walls/Perimeters: 2 or 3 walls. 🎨 Post-Processing & Painting Tips The deep relief of this model makes it very easy to paint: Priming: Use a dark primer (Black or Dark Brown). Dry Brushing: Use light greys, mossy greens, or wood browns with a dry brush. This will instantly pop the raised details. Washes: A dark brown or green ink wash will add depth to the crevices between the "roots." ------------------------------------------------------------------ 🆓 Enjoying this model?
