🎮 Super Mario World Question Block – 3D Printed Lamp 💡 Bring a piece of classic gaming history into your home! This lamp is inspired by the legendary Question Block from Super Mario World and has been redesigned specifically for 3D printing and use as a decorative lamp . The finished cube measures approximately 155 × 155 × 155 mm and is a great eye-catcher for a gaming room, desk, shelf, workshop, or retro gaming setup. I'm making the files available to the community as a free download so you can print and build your own version. 📐 Dimensions & Stand Options The main lamp body measures approximately: 155 × 155 × 155 mm Two different stands are included: - 80 mm high stand - 125 mm high stand This allows you to choose between a lower or taller version depending on where you want to display the lamp. The design is made to accommodate either a standard E14 or E27 lamp socket . 🖨 Easy Multi-Part Printing The lamp consists of multiple individual parts that are printed separately. This has one major advantage: No AMS, CFS, or other automatic filament-changing system is required! The blue and white parts can simply be printed separately in their respective colors and assembled afterwards. This means the project can easily be printed using a standard single-color FDM printer. 🚫 No Supports Required The individual parts have been designed so they can be printed without support material . This means: - No unnecessary support structures - Less wasted filament - Less post-processing - Easier printing - Cleaner individual parts After printing, the parts are simply assembled and fixed in place with a small amount of super glue . The assembly is intentionally kept simple and straightforward. 🔧 Illustrated Assembly Guide Included To make building the lamp as easy as possible, the download also includes an illustrated assembly guide in PDF format . The guide shows the individual assembly steps using pictures, making the project easy to follow even if you don't have much experience assembling multi-part 3D prints. 💡 A Great Project for Gaming & 3D Printing Fans The finished Question Block works perfectly as: - Gaming room decoration - Desk lamp - Retro gaming decoration - Shelf display - Night or ambient light - Gift for gaming fans - Fun 3D printing project The illuminated details give the cube its distinctive look and make it especially effective in darker rooms. ⚠ Important Safety Information The provided files contain the 3D-printable components for the lamp . Assembly of the model and especially the installation, wiring, connection, and use of electrical components are entirely at your own risk . I accept no responsibility or liability for incorrect assembly, improper electrical installation, unsuitable components, damage, injury, or other problems resulting from the construction or operation of the lamp. If you are unsure about the electrical installation, please have it carried out or checked by a qualified person . 💡 Use an LED Bulb Due to the possible heat generated inside the 3D-printed housing, I strongly recommend using an LED bulb only . Traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs can generate significantly more heat and should not be used. Always make sure that the selected LED bulb, socket, wiring, and other electrical components are suitable for the intended application. 🎮 Have fun printing and building your own Super Mario World inspired Question Block Lamp! If you like the model, I'd love to see your Makes, photos, likes, and feedback from the community. 😊 3D-Druckeinstellungen 🖨 Recommended Print Settings PLA - Nozzle: 0.4 mm - Layer Height: 0.20 mm - Nozzle Temperature: approx. 200–220 °C - Bed Temperature: approx. 50–60 °C - Walls: 3 - Top/Bottom Layers: 4–5 - Infill: 10–15 % - Supports: No - Brim: Optional, especially for the stands - Cooling: 100 % after the first few layers PLA is a great choice if you want an easy print with clean surfaces and sharp details. PETG - Nozzle: 0.4 mm - Layer Height: 0.20 mm - Nozzle Temperature: approx. 230–250 °C - Bed Temperature: approx. 70–85 °C - Walls: 3 - Top/Bottom Layers: 4–5 - Infill: 10–15 % - Supports: No - Brim: Optional, especially for the stands - Cooling: approx. 30–60 % PETG is a good alternative if you prefer a material with somewhat better temperature resistance. Important: Regardless of whether you print the lamp in PLA or PETG, use a low-heat LED bulb as the light source.
