Beskrivelse
The IHC Stealth Light Cruiser - H Pattern is one of the rarest surviving vessels associated with the IHC fleets, with only a single operational example believed to remain in the current era. Its design dates back more than fourteen thousand years to the chaotic period following the collapse of humanity's Golden Age, when isolated human civilizations were forced to preserve, adapt, and reinvent technologies that would later become almost impossible to reproduce. Even among other IHC vessels, the H Pattern appears distinctly foreign, following a structural philosophy rarely encountered elsewhere in their surviving fleets. Much of the ship's offensive capability is concealed beneath its hull. Compact weapon systems are mounted inside retractable compartments protected by movable armor panels, allowing the vessel to maintain an unusually clean external profile until combat begins. Its armor is equally remarkable, constructed from advanced layered materials capable of absorbing tremendous punishment after the defensive shields have collapsed. Combined with extensive internal redundancy, this gives the relatively small cruiser a level of survivability completely disproportionate to its displacement. Its defining technology is the Stealth Field Generator, an immensely sophisticated system capable of masking the vessel across multiple detection spectra. More unusually, the field can be expanded around nearby ships, allowing the H Pattern to conceal a small formation rather than merely itself. This has transformed the surviving vessel into an extraordinary strategic asset used for covert movement, reconnaissance, ambushes, and the protection of particularly important IHC convoys. The technology remains poorly understood even by those responsible for maintaining it, and constructing another complete H Pattern with equivalent capabilities is currently considered impossible. With only one known vessel still operational, the H Pattern is rarely risked in conventional engagements. Its existence is treated as both a military secret and a surviving fragment of an age when human engineering followed paths that have long since disappeared. For the IHC, losing it would mean losing not simply another warship, but a technology that may never exist again.
