The KV-2 was a Soviet heavy tank used during the early years of World War II. It was developed to destroy heavily fortified enemy positions and was armed with a powerful 152 mm howitzer mounted in a large, box-shaped turret. The KV-2 had thick armor that made it difficult for many German anti-tank weapons to penetrate, especially during the early stages of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. However, its massive turret made the tank very heavy and slow. Despite its weaknesses, the KV-2 became famous for its ability to withstand enemy fire and hold up advancing German forces. Its large gun could destroy bunkers, fortifications, and enemy tanks, but the tank was difficult to operate and had poor mobility. Mechanical problems were also common, and the tall turret made the KV-2 an easy target. Only a relatively small number were built, but the KV-2 became one of the most recognizable Soviet tanks of the early war. - About 1:200 scale This tank prints as one piece so it needs supports but they are easy to remove without breaking the model.
