>>> up to 78 FPS with the stock NERF Doom Cannon OPEN SOURCE SuperShell -- MEGA Half Dart First of all, a huge thank you to BuffdaddyNerf for designing and releasing the first working OPEN SOURCE Supershells for the Doom Cannon :) As I wanted a supershell for MEGA darts too, I made me a remix that can shoot at least MEGA half darts. Unfortunately, MEGA Full Darts are too long to fit into the shell, which is only 77 mm long. I have modified BuffdaddyNerf’s AR Depress Supershell so that the Doom Cannon’s three air channels blow into one wide barrel. The three air restrictors are kept open at all times with this shell so that the maximum air volume can be utilised. Max. FPS test MEGA half dart SuperShell (stock Doom Cannon with stock spring and air restrictor): homemade MEGA half dart = ~78 FPS (average ~75 FPS) Click here to see my other Supershells for the Doom Cannon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The files are already pre-oriented. My print settings for PLA: 0,2mm layer height 2-3 walls 5-10 % gyroid infill 7 top and bottom shell layers If you don’t plan to throw the Supershells around on the hard floor and your printer produces airtight walls with a 2-wall setting, a 2-wall setting and 5% infill are sufficient. This significantly reduces printing time and filament consumption. I ended up printing my Supershells during the tests using these settings ;) That way, you only need just approx. 60 grams of filament instead of 85. Thanks to BuffdaddyNerf for the files I could use for this remix.
