In need of a dead blow hammer, but don't feel like buying one? Then go the same route I did and simply 3D print one. I saw a bunch of 3D printed hammers on Printables, but none of them had exactly what I was looking for, so I made a model that incorporated some of the best features I saw all rolled into one. For long-term use, I would recommend using a strong material with a good amount of infill for the 2 parts of the hammer's body (I used ASA with 75% infill). The grip and the tips are printed in TPU. The tips will need all of the bottom layers (~14, but mileage may vary) printed without infill. The tips may get damaged over time, but without much effort, they can be slit off the hammer and replaced. The grip is sandwiched onto the hammer using Qty 2 1/4-20 UNC FHCS.
