These Ribbed PLA Glue Sticks are specifically engineered to fit standard hot glue guns, allowing you to melt and apply actual PLA directly onto your 3D prints for strong, permanent, and seamless structural repairs. Unlike standard hot glue, using melted PLA provides a solid, rigid bond that fuses perfectly with your printed parts, making it ideal for joining structural components, fixing cracks, or filling gaps. Why the Ribbed Design? Standard smooth filament is too slick for a glue gun's feeding mechanism to grip. The engineered ridges on these sticks ensure the gun's internal advancement system grabs and feeds the stick smoothly and consistently. The pointed tip on one end allows for quick, effortless insertion. Recommended Settings & Instructions: - Infill: 100% (solid infill is essential to ensure efficient heat transfer and maximize the material volume inside the heating chamber). - Layer Height: 0.20mm or 0.16mm for well-defined ridges. - Orientation: Print vertically with a brim if necessary, or flat with supports if you want to print multiple sticks quickly. - Sizing: The default model has a 10mm diameter, perfect for average hot glue guns. If your glue gun uses smaller sticks (e.g., 7mm ), simply scale the model down uniformly in your slicer to match your gun's exact chamber diameter. - Material: Use PLA (avoid soft PLAs or silk blends for structural repairs to ensure maximum bond strength).
