I made this design because all of the files online seem to have thousands of holes and I do not believe that is necessary. When you end up realising you need one of these, it is because you have wet filament. What does wet filament hate? Retractions... So I made this to use as few retractions as possible. I have used this design for two years and it works a treat and has fit 95% of spools. I place it in the centre of a spool then vacume seal them to keep the moisture out. Uses only 22 grams of filament! Ø Diameter = 56mm! No support required and orientated to print. I do not recomend printing it from PLA, PETG is best. This is the first STL I have ever uploaded! Any feedback/pictures taken would mean the world to me. I never use AI in my work. Thank you!
