My wife bought a solar fountain for the garden. I didn’t have a suitable container for it, so I decided to make a matching bowl. I think a plant and elven style fits this theme perfectly. Information: There are two print profiles for this bowl. Monocolor Bowl: The first profile includes a single color version. This is the second, improved version of the bowl with better overhangs. In the photos, I printed it in a scaled up version using transparent PLA filament. (If you also print it with transparent filament, you can increase the number of walls so the infill reaches 100%. This way, the bowl will look better. With transparent filament, you can see empty spaces inside the model. With any other filament, you can keep the default settings.) Dual Color Bowl: The second profile includes a multi color version. I recommend using the H2C for this task. However, my print had some artifacts, which I show below. For my needs as a garden bowl, this is acceptable, but you can improve the result by using a lower layer height or adding supports. The multi color bowl is difficult to print because my priority was to ensure it is watertight. That is why I split the model into parts and assigned separate colors to them. As a result, the bowl has solid, even, and sealed walls, while the decorative colored elements are printed on top of the bowl. Because of this, they are quite thin, which makes them harder to print. Instructions: After printing, you can use the bowl on any flat surface. It also has holes that allow you to thread a string through them. I used a thin wire. After threading it through the holes, you can use the included hook to hang the bowl, for example on a tree. Important It is important to level the bowl properly and wrap the wire around the hook as shown in the picture so that the bowl does not tilt to the sides. The bowl can be used as a bird water dish or as a solar fountain. I bought my fountain in a physical store, but it is not very good because it moves toward the edge of the bowl and some water spills out.
