I designed a fully mechanical, articulated Minecraft chest that uses a single rubber band to open the lid and secure it with a snap mechanism. The design preserves the original aspect ratio of the classic vanilla chest, making it a great fit for desk setups, cosplay, or organizing your belongings in a creative way. Trim the filament flush at the edges for a clean finish. Then, use a rubber band to connect the chest’s locking component to the back of the lid, allowing it to open and close smoothly while maintaining the snap-lock function.
