Boost This filament clip combines three functions in one compact design: • Can be easily clamped onto the spool and holds the thread securely in place. • Provides space for labeling material and color • Uses a movable pin to indicate filament stock This clip eliminates the need for additional inventory lists, providing you with all the important information at a glance. The pin position shows how many additional spools of the same filament are in storage. Leftmost position means only this spool remains; each step to the right represents one extra spool. Label variants: • 1-line version: material type only • 2-line version: color and material type Print profiles: For both variants, print profiles are included that allow you to edit the label text directly in Bambu Studio. In addition, the 1-line version includes ready-made templates for common filament types. Spool compatibility: Versions are available for Bambu Lab original spools, Bambu Lab self-printed spools, and Overture cardboard spools. Using the Customize options, the model can be easily adapted to additional spool types. Customize feature: With a click on the customize button you can edit the width and the height of the step. This allows you to adapt the clip to other spools.The 1mm step is not editable. Width dimensions of the predefined profiles: - Bambulab original: 60,25mm - Bambulab self-printed spool: 62,00mm - Overture cardboard spool: 58,00mm - Step height (all variants): 8,00mm Text edit instruction (2 lines variant): There is one printing plate for editing text and a second one for printing. Instructions for the upper line: Step 1: Right-click while the cursor is on the upper text -> Edit text: Step 2: Enter the desired text. The text settings should not be changed: Step 3: Click on the Text Edit button to exit the mode: Step 4: Right-click while the cursor is on the upper text -> Center: Step 5: The text is now centered. It is important that the clip itself has not been moved beforehand. Then press Shift + 9x arrow up (on the keyboard) so that the text is moved back to the correct position. → Instructions for the bottom line: Identical, but step 5 is not necessary. After right-clicking -> Center, the text is correctly aligned. Step 6: Then select the clip by left-clicking (not with the cursor on a text line) and copy it with Ctrl + C (on the keyboard). Then click on the second printing plate and press Ctrl + V to paste: Step 7: To align for printing, click on this button and then click on the area with the text. The clip will then be aligned as shown in the photo and ready for printing. → → The clip is now ready to print. Text edit instruction (1 line variant): Identical but after text editing and centering the text you must press shift + 5x arrow up (on the keyboard) to move the text to the correct position. Tip after printing: Depending on the filament, the pin may sit more tightly or loosely in the clip. I printed many prototypes until I found the best balance. If the pin is too tight, you usually just need to insert and remove it 4-5 times. This will smooth the side walls slightly and the resistance will then be just right. If it is still too loose or too tight, the pin can be scaled slightly. I recommend only 0.5% larger/smaller.
