Beskrivelse
Boost Me (for free) If you enjoy my designs, you can support my work with a boost! Boost This modern Japanese-style clock combines simplicity and elegance, creating a calm and timeless aesthetic for your desk or shelf. This design was optimized for 3D Printing. It does not require any supports. The watch face requires an AMS, but prints with only 4 color changes. For assembly you will need the Maker's Supply Clock Components Kit. Other clock mechanisms with dimensions of aprox. 56 mmx 56 mm can fit as well. Printing For the nicest finish, I recommend printing the watch face on a textured PEI build plate. Properly clean the build plate before printing, as every finger print can end up visible on the print. Let the build plate fully cool down before removing the print to reduce stress marks. If you end up having white stress marks on the watch face, you can carefully remove them with heat (lighter, heat gun). The watch hands are also very delicate - don't try to remove them while the build plate is still hot so they don't get deformed. Print Settings My print profile includes all settings and is ready to print. If you decide to slice this design yourself, use a height range modifier to increase the wall count of the connector pins of the base to 4-5. The nut needs to be printer with a low layer height like 0.1mm. Assembly First slide the bottom section with the pattern into the base. Be careful to not tilt it while you slide it down. Then add the watch face, making sure the arrow points down. Finally, you can put the top piece on. Depending on your printer and filament this can be a press fit or require a little bit of glue. Put the rubber gasket on the clock mechanism and insert it as shown in the photo below. You can either use the supplied metal nut, or the optional printed nut for a cleaner finish to secure it in place. Now add both hands, pointing at 12 to ensure proper orientation.
