Design & Functionality The set is designed with three distinct versions to suit your needs: Salt Version: Marked with an "S" on the eggshell cap, featuring dispense holes in the chick's open beak. Pepper Version: Marked with a "P" on the eggshell cap, also dispensing through the beak. Decorative Version: A "normal" version without dispense holes, perfect for a purely seasonal display. The seasoning is dispensed through the chick's mouth, making it look as though the chick is chirping as you use it. Printing & Calibration To achieve the best results and ensure a functional product, please follow these guidelines: Calibration is Critical: The screw-on cap at the base is designed with tight tolerances for a secure fit. Please ensure your printer and filament flow rates are well-calibrated before starting. Supports: This model requires supports. I recommend using organic or tree supports to handle the overhangs of the beak and the inner cavities. Material: Use only food-safe filaments. Since these will come into contact with salt and pepper, choosing a certified food-safe material is essential for health and safety. Layer Height: 0.2mm works best to maintain detail on the "S" and "P" engravings while ensuring smooth screw threads. Assembly Instructions Print Parts Separately: The main chick body and the eggshell "hat" are separate files. Glue the Cap: After printing, apply a small amount of food-safe adhesive to the top of the chick's head and secure the eggshell cap (S, P, or blank) in place. Attach the Base: Once your seasoning is added, screw the base cap on tightly. Pro-Tip for Salt Shakers To keep your salt flowing smoothly, try adding a few grains of uncooked rice into the salt shaker. The rice helps break up any clumps and absorbs excess humidity, preventing the salt from getting stuck in the beak. Commercial License: The files provided here are for personal use only.
