3Btrain started in 2013 when home use FDM printers had just reached the market. At the time, the level of detail required for N scale train models (1/150) models was only possible through SLA and SLS resin printers. 3Btrain utilized access to commercial resin printers to provide 3d printed models to hobbyists. Today, home FDM printers have achieved a level of detail sufficient for everyone to print N scale models. 3Btrain wants to bring Japanese N scale models to homes which may not be able to buy Tomytec or Kato models (available mainly on the Japanese market) or do not have financial resources to buy them at retail prices. We strive to bring the excitement of building 3D-printed dioramas to every modeler, from beginners to experienced.
